The reluctant fundamentalist (film) is a 2012 political thriller drama film based on 2007 novel, the reluctant fundamentalist novel by Mohsin Hamid and directed by Mira Nair. It is a novel by Pakistani author Mohsin Hamid which was published in 2007. Here Changez Khan finding himself adjusting in a conflict between his American dreams, and he accomplishing much before the planes hit The World Trade Center (9/11). This leading him to step back from his career and his love life as well. Here he himself is the narrator of the story while meeting in the Pak Tea House in Lahore with American journalist Bobby. A local American professor has just been kidnapped by Changez Khan. Changez Khan is the leader of Pakistani terrorist’s movement. While talking with Changez Khan Bobby thinks he might have some answers regarding the kidnapping of that local professor, but Changez Khan insists on telling his own story. Changez Khan told Bobby that he fell in love with Erica who was photographer in America. Then one day Changez Khan sits in a dark hotel room. He turns on the television and he saw that the second plane hits the towers. Changez Khan is humiliated by every type of law enforcement. Police officers arrest him for being the wrong man in the wrong place at wrong time. FBI agents accuse him types of terrorist schemes. In the immediate moments after the attacks, his co-workers forced bits of anti-Muslims, but not pointing at him. He questions his identity while rights struggle with his principles. He is a man who rising to the heights for extending nation. He goes back to his roots in Lahore, but now he is a different person, by accepting a different world. He is a son of Pakistani poet and the New York businessmen, and now a professor in the same tea shop with his students. He showed the picture of that three people who attacked his family members. And also told Bobby that I know that you are a member of CIA. Changez Khan told his students about his American dream, but now he is not an American lover, now he is a Pakistani lover. In the beginning Changez asked Bobby to write his full story from the very beginning not in pieces. Here Changez Khan felt that he was objectified when Erica showed his picture to express her love for him. Here we can relate this with movie “New York”. These both movies are based on Anti-American with different kinds of things. For example: In movie “New York” John Abraham who was American in that movie and also a student of university. He took pictures of “Twin Towers” there. Then the American police thought that he is a member of any terrorist group and he is also responsible for this terrorist attack on The World Trade Center. Same scene showed in this movie “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” also  and Changez Khan is an American and also an employee there but American police thought that he is a member of any terrorist group and then they arrested him.
