What is First language
First language means mother  tongue .Primary language  that  the child would learn. First language has an importance influence on the  second  language acquisition. First language is our identity .

What is second language
“A person’s second language or L2, is a language that is not the native language of the speaker, but that is used for communication with the people of another language.”

English language is Global language. English is not our mother tongue. It’s language of  England. English is necessary thing because each and  every requires English. English is Language of power. To survive in this modern era it is necessary to require basic knowledge of English language.  Second Language acquisition (SLA) is also closely related to  cognitive psychology , and education.  According to Kreshan ,the Acquisition of a language is naturalistic process, where as learning a language is a conscious one.

 According to Researchers:

“Researchers generally view intercultural communication as a problem created by differences in behaviour and world views among people who speak different languages and who belong to different cultures.”
To know the importance of ‘language planning’, Kapil Kapoor has given the example of the report of the Education Commission of 1964-66. It says,

“…….most complicated problem that the country has faced since independence and one that has resisted a solution. It goes on to add that on account of educational, cultural and political reasons.”

According to The Education Commission, 1964-66,

In higher education, English will be as a library language and it
should be taught from std.5 though we know that for
many students who come from the rural areas, can’t
begin their study before class 7.

The Hunt by Mahashweta Devi

‘The Hunt’ forms part of a collection published as  Imaginary Maps: Three Stories by Mahasweta Devi in 1995. The other two stories in the collection are namely ‘ Douloti the Bountiful’ and ‘Pterodactyl, Puran Sahay, and Pirtha. ’ All three stories describe a fictional rendition of situations that are very real in the lives of the tribal people. While ‘The Hunt’   is about a half tribal girl’s bold attempt to put a violent end to her personal exploitation as well as to the threat of ecological devastation, ‘Douloti ’  deals with the problem of bonded labour, particularly the women who are exploited endlessly and mercilessly through the system.
